What do you want to teach me?
These past months I have lost most of my friends and my family has become stranded; Some friends I let go of because they were a wall between spiritually and me, making it hard to focus on serving God. While other people, who I considered good friends have been dropping like flies for many different reasons.
Still, it has been a struggle to make new friendships and socialize. I consider myself a social introvert which makes it harder to maintain a standard social life.
God knows how I feel. He knows that I despise so much alone time, So why does he let my tormenters rejoice of my solitude?
In the midst of my struggle I have found comfort in meditating Psalms 23: Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will leer no evil, for you are with me.You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies”. Which led me to question myself, What are you teaching me, Lord?
I invite you to ask yourself this question when going through the darkest of valleys and not loose hope or reassurance that God is at your back taking care of you. Also, that He knows your struggles and soon you’ll have an answer right from his mouth.
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (Psalms 23: 5-6).”
I invite you to write Psalms 23 and post it where you can see it every day, make it present in your life. Use it as today’s prayer and wait on the Lord.
