Blessings come Intertwined
Yesterday I was looking at a picture of my daughter trying on a wedding dress; she looked so happy and beautiful. Then I noticed something in her dress that caught my attention, the fabric, it was intertwined at the top.
This reminded me of how blessings come intertwined; they come between problems and situations. Like the ones, I am experiencing now.
The same week my daughter looked for wedding dresses, I found myself packing with my husband for a trip to see my in-laws who are poor in health; My mother in law is suffering her last stages of Alzheimer’s disease and my father in law is in and out of health issues.
In spite of all the situations, my husband couldn’t help the tears from running down his face, as he saw his oldest daughter dressed as a bride, while our eleven-year-old daughter posed proudly next to her sister, through this fairytale process.
You may ask, why intertwined? Because that’s how life is! Blessings don’t come by themselves, they come in between.
Between tears of joy and tears of sadness
Between sickness and health
Between wealth and poverty.
Don’t look for exclusive blessings, you will miss them in the shuffle of everything else!
