Confront Your Fears 2.0
I wish I could write every single time about confronting your fears because fear traps us and make us believe that we don’t have a chance anymore.
Last time I used the silliest anecdote on my arsenal to make a point. I wanted to prove that the single tiniest and silliest fear can break us. So Imagine what the greatest sin can do to us.
God sees every sin at a distance, but I do believe that UNFORGIVENESS is the sin that will eat us alive. The Bible speaks this topic widely; in fact, it was jealousy and unforgiving that led Cain to beat to death Abel to death. Ultimately leading God to cast him away from His presence as punishment; Fear can lead to so many discomforting emotions but the sole decision to feel the way we feel is ours alone.
One day Cain suggested to his brother, “Let’s go out into the fields.”[c] And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother, Abel, and killed him. Afterward the Lord asked Cain, “Where is your brother? Where is Abel?”“I don’t know,” Cain responded. “Am I my brother’s guardian?”But the Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground! Now you are cursed and banished from the ground, which has swallowed your brother’s blood. No longer will the ground yield good crops for you, no matter how hard you work! From now on you will be a homeless wanderer on the earth.” Gen 4:8-12
I can only speak from experience since I am just a mere worker in the fields of God and do not possess a degree to go deeper into the topic as much as I would want. I did find a study that I believe will help ease the anxiety through the scrutiny of the Bible, written by John Piper. I am posting the link bellow; I encourage you to look deeper into the emotion that leads you away from God.
God gave his only begotten son as a sacrifice for our sins. Don’t let words and actions against you be the stone in the middle of the road that’ll make you stumble. I will ask you that if you found any other Bible verse about fear or anxiety feel free to post it in the comments below and be part of the God’s links to help one another.
