God Provides
This past week was really hard, especially economically. Nevertheless, I am thankful for God has provided me with a job that pays well and for the help of God’s people. BUT the reality is there are moments where I barely meet ends needs. In other words, I work to survive, like 98% of Earth’s population. As I worked I prayed, ” God, I need you, I don’t how I am going to do it, please make money rain on me”.A while later, I left work and drove to the department store to buy food. Then as I waited in line to pay I found a dollar. I asked the ladies in front of me if it was theirs, which they responded no. But I insisted, are you sure? Then one of them answered: “pretty sure, take it, is yours”. I was surprised! Then 10 minutes later another lady approached me and asked: ” Is this yours?” She was holding two more dollar bills! I uttered: “WOW, two more dollars! But no, they’re not mine”. Her answer was “here, take it”. My amazement grew! Then I remembered the prayer and couldn’t help but think, Is this God making money rain for me? I started laughing of joy because God answered right then and there. It’s was pretty easy for me to worry and it clouded my judgment, as James said but we must always be earnestly praying.
“The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.”
Trust in prayer, trust that Jesus is listening to you. He may not answer right then and there, but surely He is listening. We have to trust His timing, even if we get desperate about it. Remember that God never leaves anyone weary.
God, I trust you! Forgive me, when I get desperate and not able to listen to Your voice.
In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
