Shout it
Have you had a chance to worship, God, this week? Have you praised and experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit? I have, and it’s an indescribable feeling that you don’t want it to end. It’s this one-on-one time when you look for Jesus, and you find Him.
You see, Jesus doesn’t get lost. He knows where you are; He knows what you need; as Revelations 3:20 says:
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
The marvelous thing about Jesus is that He will not force you to do anything but, bear in mind that He, in fact, is waiting for you to open the door. He wants to tell you things of importance, and He longs to hear what you have to say, even though He already knows because He is Omniscient. All because He wants to develop a relationship with you. He desires to heal you because He knows exactly where your aching, that one painful thing that cannot let you act straight. He wants to profess to you all the love he has to offer because everything He has, He gave as an offering to you, His son Jesus.
Sometimes we need a push to open that door because we fear the unknown. We fear to experiment with new and benign feelings. But maybe the right ambiance might help you out, that’s why I invite you to go to a secret place in your house. It could be your room, the living room, the patio, anywhere you like- put on some worship music-driven and listen, open the door to Jesus. Praise and talk to Jesus because I can assure you that you need to hear what He has to say.
I have many songs that help me hear Jesus. This week a song called “Shout it” by an American Christian group called All Sons and Daughters has helped me understand my purpose with the ministry and lead me to listen to the Holy Spirit’s leading regarding this post.We need to praise Jesus and have a few minutes set aside and listen to his voice. I invite you to do the same and share in the comments what is your favorite song to look for Jesus.
