Why Going To Church Is Important
God asks us to share the gospel, and on occasion, this means inviting others to church, but I am not a very talkative person, and the thought of asking people to come with me startles me.
In spite of my emotions I have ventured out in inviting others to church, but I have encountered so many of my friends with a common situation, they stopped attending church because of a situation they faced.
Gathering all their experiences, I came up with a common denominator; they put their trust on MAN instead of on GOD. The church is not exclusively for social gatherings nor is it to get engorged on His word. The importance of attending church is to practice koinonia.
Koinonia is a joint contribution and participation of the members of the church.
You might be thinking: ” yes, I know that!”.
But what I’m saying is more than that; Koinonia is aiding and helping others, it’s receiving guidance and giving guidance on how to be closer to the ALMIGHTY and creating a bond that intertwines with the HOLY SPIRIT.
As a community, we need to stop putting ALL our faith in men, on the pastor, on the counselors, and on your friends and start trusting the Holy Spirit, who is the true source of connecting us with heaven.
Join me in forgiving those who have wronged us inside the church and plan to attend an upcoming service of God to create and practice koinonia with your fellow church-goers. Lastly, Trust GOD! Trust that He is working in every person that sits right by you, they are in need as much as we are.
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25
Fellow reader, thank you for what you can give to others. I will be praying for you to get what is missing in you to trust in koinonia.
